BUTTERNUT NUTTER BUTTER

A dependable, uniform butternut variety developed by High Mowing seeds that matures earlier than standard butternuts. Has good disease resistance. The butternut size varies between 2.5-3.5 lbs. Butternuts have fantastic storage quality when done properly and this variety is delicious with a thick, smooth orange flesh. Perfect for roasting, soups or even pumpkin pie! Vining Habit

HOW TO GROW:

Can start indoors 1-2 weeks before last frost date or direct sow when danger of frost is past and soil begins to warm up (Spring). Plant seeds 1/2-1'' deep and space plants 24'' to 30''. If transplanting small plants be sure to properly harden off and be careful to not disturb roots when transplanting as squash is not a fan of being transplanted. Keep small plants watered at this vulnerable stage till they start to develop bigger roots.
