BUTTERNUT - EARLY PROLIFIC HYBRID

 Vigorous plants produce beautiful medium to large butternut great for your cold storage or enjoyed right away! Sweet, meaty flesh makes your soups creamy and comforting. Early maturing variety.

How to Grow: Start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before your last frost date or plant out when danger of frost has past and the soil is warm. 

Planting Depth and Spacing: 1/2'' to 1" deep. 24-36 inches between plants with 48-60 inches row spacing. If you are planting by seed plant two seeds and keep the strongest if they both germinate.

Germination:  7-14 days

Height and Spread at Maturity: 9 to 18 inches tall, 10 to 15 feet wide (vine length)

Plant in full sun in nutrient-rich soil since squash are hungry feeders. Water as needed. Harvest when butternut forms a hard skin if you want to store.
